It was Sept. 26, 2009 when typhoon Ondoy struck the whole Metro Manila and Southern Luzon. This had brought extreme damages to lives and properties that the government proclaimed entire area on “state of calamity” The estimated members affected in Ahon Sa Hirap,Inc coverage area particularly in the province of Rizal, Laguna and South Metro Manila were almost 4,700 with P10million portfolio.This prompt Ms. Mila Mercado Bunker - ASHI President to initiate measure to be of assistance to members victims.
