ASHI carefully designs its loan product to ensure that members can easily pay it back. Credit discipline is strictly encouraged among members to alleviate their dignity.
“Credit without strict discipline is nothing but charity and charity in the name of credit will destroy the poor, not help them. Credit institutions must make sure that loans get paid in full and on time. If it does not happen that way, one should not be quick to blame the people for the failure; rather, one should blame the designer of the credit institution who failed to do the job”.
-Prof. Muhammad Yunus- Grameen Bank
