Design:

ASHI carefully designs its loan product to ensure that members can easily pay it back. Credit discipline is strictly encouraged among members to alleviate their dignity.

Credit without strict discipline is nothing but charity and charity in the name of credit will destroy the poor, not help them.  Credit institutions must make sure that loans get paid in full and on time.  If it does not happen that way, one should not be quick to blame the people for the failure; rather, one should blame the designer of the credit institution who failed to do the job”.

General Loan:
 This loan is for income generating activities of all recognized and active members who have been loyal with the rules and regulations. Loan amount can be availed from a minimum of 5,000- 20,000 for ASHI 1, 25,000- 50,000 for ASHI 2 and 75,000- 100,000 for ASHI 3 with loan term choices of 25, 50, 75 and 100 weeks repayment and with 46% interest rate per annum in a diminishing rate. Renewal of loan is available for active member whose business met a downturn due to theft/robbery, fire, death in the family, family conflict, health related incidents and natural disaster for them to recover from business loss. A member is required to grow one tree for every general loan application.

AGAP (ASHI Grameen Agricultural Program:
 The program is implemented to assist the poor farmers in ASHI covered areas through loans and insurances with marketing assistance. Farmers Enterprise Program (FEP) and Farmers Livelihood Resiliency Program (FLRP) is introduced in partnership with local government units and private institutions/companies.

Quick Loan:
 This is an income generating loan that can be used only in a cash basis short term business opportunities, such as fiesta sales, export orders, trade fairs etc. This is available to all active members with 98- 100% Credit Rating and in the 3rd cycle of the current ASHI 1- general loan. The center should have a minimum of four active groups. Loan terms are shortened ranges from 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks repayment and with 6% flat interest rate per month.

Incentive Loan:
 The loan is intended for house construction or repairs, purchase of lot, electrical and water connection, tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, uniform, school supplies and other related school expenses of the immediate family. This is available to all active members with 98- 100% Credit Rating and in the 2nd cycle of the current ASHI 1- general loan. The center should have a minimum of four active groups. Loan terms ranges from 25, 50, 75 and 100 weeks repayment and with 46% interest rate per annum in a diminishing rate. Draw down is available after 50% payment of the loan. Renewal of loan is available for active member whose business met a down turn due to theft/robbery, fire, death in the family, family conflict, health related incidents and natural disaster for them to recover from business loss.

SAVINGS PRODUCTS:

Personal Fund:
 A voluntary saving of any amount and can be withdrawn during center meeting. A 500 pesos balance maintained in a year, earns a 4% interest.

Center Fund:
 The amount to be contributed is agreed upon by the center. Intended for all activities of the center.

Branch Fund:
 Contribution for branch and ASHI events. The amount is decided by the branch. Interest earned depend upon the depository bank.

Compulsory Fund:
 A regular savings cashed-in every week and the contribution of members during the Group Orientation Training.

INSURANCE PRODUCTS:

Kabalikat Insurance Fund:
 Members contribute P5.00 per week to cover the remaining loan outstanding balances for all types of loan of a member upon death. Should there be no loan outstanding upon death; the savings will be returned to the members. 

Partnership with PIONEER Insurance:
 Through the P25.00 per week contributed by the members as a premium, the following benefits are availed in cases of death, accidents and calamities:

1. Life Insurance
 · Death Benefits for members is P50,000.00, spouses is P30,000.00 and P15,000.00 each for two dependents.
 · Hospitalization for P500.00/day for a maximum of 30 days
 · Death by accidents will avail double indemnity

2. Non- Life Insurance
 · Fire accidents benefits is P10,000.00
 · Typhoon/ Floods benefits is a maximum of P5,000.00 based on gravity of damage
 · Earthquake benefits is a maximum of P5,000.00 based on gravity of damage

OTHER SERVICES:

Financial Literacy:
 To provide members with additional knowledge and in preparation for enterprise development, we introduced financial literacy education through, trainings and seminars for members, symposium and dialogues and during weekly center meetings.

Health and Sanitation Services:
 In partnership with the LGU and private institutions we conduct dental and medical missions to specific areas and Cataract & “Bingot” operation. Provided safe drinking waters to members and families, through loans to avail Pure- It Water Purifier, in partnership with Unilever Philippines.

Assistance for SSS and PHILHEALTH Enrollment:
 To provide members with wider range of securities and benefits, we assist members’ enrollment to Social Security System (SSS) and Phil Health.
