    (A business without vices will surely prosper.) This is how Mrs. Ruth Sanchez Manes unties her story on how her business turned vast.

  • Mrs. Laarni Ditablan

    Raised and trained at an early age by her father in selling a variety of fresh fishes in the municipalities of Rizal and nearby Laguna, Laarni Antazo Ditablan was destined to become a successful fish entrepreneur.

  • Mrs. Candelaria Flores

    Their first business was a sari-sari store which to Candelaria was a convenient way to assist her husband financially while being able to stay home and attend to their children.

  • Mrs. Analyn Mesa Celestre

    With her husband’s permission, she joins ASHI in 2009 to access and increase her capital. Because her store is located near the port(locally known as “Pritil”) her store increasingly grows.

    Through micro-loans, Ahon Sa Hirap Inc - ASHI empowers Nanays to become financially independent. “Seventy percent of our 85,000 members own sari-sari stores and other informal businesses,” said ASHI President Mercedes Abad.
