Pangil, Laguna — Ahon sa Hirap, Inc. (ASHI), a microfinance NGO, together with the AGAP Farmers Association of Pangil, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Agriculture CALABARZON's High Value Crops Development Program for awarding them a hauling truck to support their agricultural operations.

This newly awarded truck is expected to make a significant impact on the farmers' capacity to consolidate and transport fresh produce to various markets. With improved logistics, farmers can ensure that their products arrive in excellent condition and maintain high quality, strengthening their competitiveness in the market.

Beyond enhancing logistical capabilities, the truck will empower the farmer association with greater confidence in pursuing wider market opportunities—ultimately contributing to increased income and sustainability for smallholder farmers in the community.

ASHI and AGAP also extended their sincere appreciation to the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Pangil, the DA CALABARZON F2C2 Program, and APCO Laguna for their invaluable assistance and continued support. These partnerships play a vital role in uplifting local farmers and fostering rural development.

With support from dedicated institutions and stakeholders, smallholder farmers in Pangil are now better equipped to grow, thrive, and bring high-value crops to a broader market.
