The 2025 MCPI Annual Conference on July 30-31 brought together over 500 microfinance practitioners, funders, service providers, and partners at the Century Park Hotel in Manila. With the theme "Microfinance and Sustainable Finance for the Poor," the event kicked off with a welcome message from MCPI Outgoing Chairperson, Gilbert Maramba, followed by a keynote address by Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of CARD MRI. Senator Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino IV, author of the Microfinance NGOs Act, also expressed his support for the microfinance industry through a video message.


The conference continued with Dr. Alip, the founding Chair of MCPI, leading the oath-taking ceremony for the 2025–2026 MCPI Board of Trustees.

The highlight of the opening session was the launch of "The CARD Paglambo Story," with Dr. Alip and Ms. Marilyn Manila.

• Ugnayan Session with Globe Business, RuralNet, Supreme Insurance, and SwiftPay • Plenary Session 2: Philippines Economic Outlook with the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development

• Breakout Session on Transition to Clean and Sustainable Technologies with UN Environment Programme and Hybrid Social Solutions, Inc.

• Breakout Session on Strategic Partnerships with Government Agencies with Philippine Guarantee Corporation and Philippine Statistics Authority

• MFI Exchange on Increasing Staff Satisfaction in MFIs with CARD MRI and TSKI
