ASHI Recognized at the 2026 MCPI Annual Conference and HSSI Impact Maker Awards
Ahon Sa Hirap, Inc. (ASHI) actively participated in the 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Members and the 2026 MCPI Annual Conference held on August 11–13, 2026, at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
The Microfinance Council of the Philippines, Inc. (MCPI) held its 26th AGM on August 11, where MCPI Chairperson Eduardo Jimenez presented the organization’s accomplishments from August 2025 to July 2026. The meeting also included a discussion on the Microfinance Code of Ethics and the introduction of new MCPI members, Seven Grand Credit Corporation and BagoSphere.
Outstanding MCPI members for 2025–2026 were recognized during the assembly, including ASHI as an Outstanding MFI Member of MCPI for 2025–2026. Outgoing Board members Jane Manucdoc of ASKI and Dexter Flores of KCoop were also recognized for their service to MCPI.
From August 12–13, ASHI joined fellow microfinance institutions and industry partners at the 2026 MCPI Annual Conference. The conference provided an opportunity for participants to learn, exchange best practices, and strengthen their commitment to providing inclusive and sustainable financial services.
ASHI Receives Recognition for Energy Access Impact
Another highlight of the conference was ASHI’s recognition as the 3rd Place recipient of the HSSI Impact Maker Award. The award recognizes ASHI’s contribution to improving access to reliable and better energy services, reaching 63,129 people from August 2025 to July 2026.
ASHI’s branches also received recognition in the branch category:
Rizal South Branch – 1st Place, South Luzon
Antique South Branch – 1st Place, Western Visayas
Antique Southwest Branch – 3rd Place, Western Visayas
The awards were presented on August 12, 2026, during the 9th Annual Hybrid Impact
Network Fellowship and Recognition Night.
These recognitions reflect ASHI’s continuing efforts to create meaningful impact in the communities it serves. They also recognize the dedication of its branches and employees in delivering programs and services that contribute to better opportunities and improved quality of life for Filipino families.
