On March 27-28, MCPI, the UN Environment Programme in Asia Pacific and UN Women Asia and the Pacific visited the client-beneficiaries of EmPower II in Ahon Sa Hirap, Inc. (ASHI). The activity also facilitated a learning exchange with RAFI Microfinance on the implementation of ASHI’s solar access program.
Jointly implemented by UN Women and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) with support from the Governments of Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland, EmPower is dedicated to empowering women and marginalized groups to take the lead in building climate-resilient communities through MCPI and its member-MFIs.
