Empowering Women’s Health: ASHI Holds 6th OB-GYN Medical Mission in Laguna

On July 9, 2025, Ahon sa Hirap, Inc. (ASHI) successfully conducted its 6th OB-GYN Medical Mission, in partnership with Kalusugan ng Kababaihan Pangkabayanan Incorported (KnKP Inc.) The mission took place at Istiraha Resort, Sitio Buliran, Brgy. Halayhayin, Siniloan, Laguna, serving 121 women from nearby communities with vital reproductive health services.

This ongoing partnership, which began in 2019, has previously brought healthcare to underserved areas in Muntinlupa, Rodriguez (Rizal), and Capiz. The most recent mission reflects ASHI and KnKP Inc.’s continued commitment to accessible, community-based women's health services.

Services Rendered:

• 17 OB ultrasounds & prenatal consultations

• 121 breast exams

• 104 gynecological ultrasounds & consultations

• 97 VIA screenings

• 2 cervical polypectomies

• 1 cryotherapy

• 1 cervical punch biopsy

• 2 IUD removals

The mission was organized by ASHI’s Members & Community Service Department (MCSD), with support of Laguna East Branch.
