MCPI 2026 Microfinance Operations Staff Summit

The Microfinance Council of the Philippines, Inc. (MCPI) successfully held the 2026 Microfinance Operations Staff Summit on April 7–8, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila. The event gathered 287 participants representing 50 institutions across the microfinance sector.

The summit served as a meaningful platform for field operations staff to exchange experiences and explore practical strategies that strengthen day-to-day microfinance work. Sessions highlighted real field challenges and encouraged open discussions on how institutions can better respond to operational issues in the field.

A key highlight of the event was the participation of ASHI delegates who shared their insights and expertise. Among the invited speakers were Gilacio Nasayao, Regional Manager of ASHI, and Angel Dorado, Business and Development Department Manager.

Their discussions provided valuable perspectives on improving operational efficiency and addressing common challenges faced by microfinance institutions.

Overall, the summit reinforced the importance of collaboration, continuous learning, and strong field-level execution in advancing microfinance operations.
